Create a New User Group
Fields
Hostnames
If you want to limit the creation of this group to specific
hostnames within a pool, enter those hostnames in this field. If you
are entering multiple entries, leave a blank between each entry. You
can also use the arrow button to the right to select the available
hosts from the current pool.
Group Name
The Group Name represents how this group will be identified. In most
cases the name is related to the activities of the group. For
example, the general accounting department group might be known as
acctgen while the accounting supervisors group may be called
acctsup. Enter the new User Group Name.
Group ID
The Group ID (or GID), is how the operating system refers to the
User Group. The Group ID is a numeric way of referring to a User
Group, while the Group Name is the more user friendly way of
referring to the same Group. Enter the GID number. Decimals are not
allowed in this field.
